The first debut of the Solar Slider at UC San Diego was in just a few days. We had a cotton candy machine ready for the occasion, to be powered by the Solar Slider. All that was left was to secure and connect the electronics we had tested beforehand.
Slightly overcast though it was, the Solar Slider pulled into Warren Mall, just in between the Jacob’s School of Engineering and the Center for Magnetic Recording Research at UC San Diego. With the flip of a switch, the Solar Slider provided clean, pure-sine wave electricity for an electric utility vehicle and a cotton candy machine.
